About Meadow
My name is Meadow, and I've just recently graduated high school. I'm planning to go into a math-based program when I attend post-secondary school in the Fall of 2023. In high school I always excelled at math, but was able to understand my friends who often struggled with the subject. Throughout my time as a student I maintained a 4.0 average GPA, while also being a high performance elite athlete.

My name is Meadow and I'm currently taking a gap year. After excelling in math throughout middle school and high school (achieving a 95% in grade 12 calculus and a 98% in grade 12 pre-calculus), I feel I would be well suited to tutor others. I've always been very passionate about this subject, and intend to go into a math heavy program in post-secondary school.
My lessons are best suited for anyone in middle school or high school math. I am able to modify my lessons to an individual's needs, so a typical lesson plan varies heavily—but here's what you can expect. Start the lesson off by asking for any questions from the previous lesson and math problems. Then depending on the circumstances, either walk the student through a problem set to help them understand the concept or continue on with the planned lesson. In a lesson, it would begin with a small explanation on the topic and what it encapsulates. From there, I would walk the student through a number of examples, each getting progressively harder and incorporating aspects from previous lessons. Then, the links between a new subject would be linked back to old subjects. Therefore a student can properly understand what a formula does and how we got there, instead of simply memorizing and plugging in the variables. At the end of the lesson I would allow the student to walk through solving a problem to ensure there understanding and evaluate any gaps in their knowledge. This is just a rough plan, and is flexible and malleable to every student's individual needs—and what they need to do in order to succeed.
