About Georgie
I have recently graduated Newcastle University with a 2:1 in Psychology (BSc). I also achieved an A at A-level, so I've now studied Psychology for 5 years.
I've been teaching sailing for 5 years, with multiple coaching qualifications, so I am familiar with setting up an effective lesson to ensure the student is getting the most out of the sessions.
This is a subject I love, it's incredibly interesting and varied, and I'm excited to help you achieve your grades and learn more about this subject!

The aim of my lessons is to help equip the student with methods of learning that work for them, so they can ace any Psychology exam. For me, tutoring sessions are used to build upon knowledge learnt at school, delving into more detail on areas the student is interested in, or taking it back to basics in areas they find more challenging.
The sessions are super interactive, no lectures here! Question practice is key, so answering questions together will be incorporated into the sessions too. We will also cover a mix of interesting case studies, important theories and great evaluation points.
Most importantly, the session is student-led. You tell me which areas are your focus, and these are the areas we will cover. We will also work together to figure out what these areas are if you're unsure, and build knowledge and skills from there!
I've been teaching sailing for 5 years now, so I'm very familiar with how to adapt my style to suit each student depending on age and level. I would typically tutor for an hour, as this allows us time to go into detail on an area, but the sessions can be very flexible. Everyone is different, if an hour is too long for a student to stay focused, it's important to do shorter sessions, so we can schedule around the student's needs.
