About Evelyn
Hello, my name is Evelyn Gonzalez-Lima I am 23 years old and I am currently a psychology and sociology student. I will be providing tutoring services for high school and middle school students in core subjects; math and science as well as elective subjects; health and spanish. I am here to provide support in your academic success and look forward to getting to know you.

I like to take a socratic method of teaching when working with a student or group of students. I believe that this method helps students improve their critical thinking skills and communication skills.
I like to get to know my students learning style to help them gain a greater understanding of their material. A typical lesson plan for me is having a brief lecture of said topic, allowing the student to ask questions, allow them time to practice what they have learned and come for more information if necessary.
Explaining the materials in ways they can personally identify with is also important as it will allow the material to stick.
I typically work with middle and high school students.
