About Avani
I absolutely LOVE to teach and I know that sometimes finding things hard at school or meeting new people may make us feel a bit anxious, but I hope that these sessions can help you to build your confidence at school.
I like to provide an enjoyable learning experience that goes at your personal pace, whilst encouraging you to always aim and achieve higher than ever before!
I have tutored many students before; some students are SEN students and others have general anxiety about school, so it is always important that we construct an academic plan at the start of our sessions. We can talk about our goals for each session, our strengths and things we may find a bit more difficult to make sure that we are happy with what we are learning.

There are so many different ways to learn a new topic and sometimes we might find the methods at school slightly confusing. This is why with 1:1 tutoring we can find what method what best for YOU and we can work together to achieve your personal and academic goals!
I like to use a range of teaching techniques and learning a new topic can be made fun with the help of educational video clips and practice questions. To make sure you have understood the lesson, I like to give a few extra short practice questions that you can have a go at after the session, which we review together in the next session.
A typical tutoring session lasts an hour and I am flexible to working around your schedule.
I have previously been an online tutor and I have also tutored a few students in person. I have worked as a primary school teaching assistant for a year and I am starting my teacher training at the University of Warwick.
These lessons are aimed at students who are at primary school level (Years 1-6) in all subjects. I also teach Maths at secondary level up to GCSE (Years 7-11).
