About Mackenzie
Hello, my name is Mackenzie. I am a 21-year-old female who has just graduated from Loughborough University. I have been doing psychology since 2018 when I started A levels. I am extremely passionate about my degree and have done a placement in the NHS working for a Children and Adolescent Mental Health Service. My particular interests in psychology include Developmental, Social, and Clinical psychology. I volunteered to be an adviser within the year 7 and 8’s assisted reading sessions, where children with lower-than-average reading ages read aloud to sixth formers in order to help improve their reading skills. I really enjoyed this role as in year 7 I needed this assistance; therefore, it was important for me to provide this support for someone in a similar situation. Furthermore, I have work experience at the Home Office in London, allowing me to train and work in a group for access needs, where I learnt how to accommodate different disabilities. In my spare time I love to be outside, whether that be climbing or running. However, I also enjoy being inside with a good book or making some art.

In the past I have experienced struggles with education as I have ADHD; however, I didn't let this stop me and I worked around it. I think it helped me to develop the skills to help those with learning difficulties. I hope to get others as interested in psychology as I am and hope that no one feels disadvantaged in academics and believes they can do the best they can! My lessons are aimed for GCSE, AS, BTEC, and A level students studying Psychology and/or Media Studies. Each session can run from 1-2 hours.

Perfect! Mackenzie is great! She has a patient, understanding, knowledge and she cares. She started teaching my Homedschooled Son A level quite late in the Year, she changed him. He didn't care about his work, wasn't doing homework but Mackenzie changed all that. He went from not knowing much to knowing a lot that he got to the University that he wanted. Thank you so much for your flexibility, availability and great communication. For Caring
