About Jack
I’m a Psychology graduate with a genuine passion for understanding how people think, feel, and behave. Despite many advances, we still have much to discover about how the brain actually works, which makes the field endlessly fascinating. Psychology also overlaps with biology and physics in exciting ways—especially in areas like human factors and engineering, where understanding human behaviour and cognition is essential for designing safer, more efficient systems and technologies. I keep up with developments across these fields because I believe that a broad scientific curiosity helps me bring fresh perspectives and practical insights to both my life and my tutoring. My goal is to inspire students not only to improve their grades but also to develop a deeper appreciation for the real-world connections within these subjects.

Hi! I'm a Psychology graduate with A-Levels in Psychology, Biology, and Physics, and I’ve been tutoring for over two years. I’ve helped students — including my younger brother — through A-Level Psychology and GCSE Science (Biology & Physics), and I know how to break things down in a clear, relatable way. If you're looking for friendly, down-to-earth support that actually helps you understand the material, I'm here to help! My approach is flexible, supportive, and tailored to each student’s needs and goals. I believe in adapting to your pace—whether you’re building up foundational knowledge or preparing for high-pressure exams. When catching up on topics or learning outside of exam season, I break each subject down to its most basic level. I help students fully understand the core ideas before gradually building up to more complex content. This method ensures solid understanding and long-term retention, rather than surface-level memorisation. As we get closer to exams, the most effective strategy I’ve used—with great success for both myself and the students I tutor—is working through past paper questions. This not only helps with exam technique but also builds confidence in applying knowledge. With A-Level Psychology in particular, one of the biggest challenges (and where many students lose marks) is understanding how precise the wording needs to be in essay-style questions. While some parts of the marking can be open to interpretation, there are specific topics where certain terms and phrases must be used exactly as expected by the examiner. I place a strong focus on recognising and using these key phrases so students can maximise their marks. No matter your current level or what you’re aiming for, I can adapt our sessions to suit your learning style, pace, and goals—whether that’s building confidence, improving exam technique, or catching up after time off. Typical lessons are 60 minutes, but I can offer shorter or longer sessions depending on your needs. Qualifications & Experience: I’m a Psychology graduate with A-Levels in Psychology, Biology, and Physics. I’ve been tutoring for over two years, helping students at different levels—including supporting my younger brother through A-Level Psychology—so I understand the curriculum and what exam boards are looking for. I offer: A-Level Psychology tutoring (any exam board) GCSE Biology and Physics tutoring Lessons are ideal for students aged 14–18, whether you're preparing for exams, need help catching up, or want to improve your grades and understanding.
