About Shania
Hello! I’m Shania Javellana, a Psychology student with a background in journalism, writing, and communication. I am passionate about helping students develop their Filipino/English skills in a supportive, comfortable, and encouraging learning environment.
As a tutor, I am patient, approachable, and committed to making lessons easy to understand. I believe that students learn best when they feel comfortable asking questions and expressing themselves without fear of making mistakes. I tailor my lessons to each student’s learning pace, needs, and goals.
Whether you want to improve your grammar, vocabulary, reading, writing, speaking, or overall communication skills, I am here to guide you step by step. My goal is not only to help students improve their Filipino/English but also to build their confidence in using it in school and everyday situations.

As a tutor, I believe that learning Filipino/English should be comfortable, engaging, and suited to each student’s needs. I use a patient and encouraging approach, focusing on clear explanations, practical examples, guided practice, and activities that help students build confidence in using English.
A typical lesson begins with a short review of the previous topic, followed by an introduction to the new lesson. I then explain the topic using simple examples and allow the student to practice through exercises, conversations, reading, or writing activities. Each lesson ends with a short recap to make sure the student understands the key concepts.
What sets me apart is my background in writing and journalism, combined with my experience as a Psychology student. I understand that students learn differently, so I adjust my teaching style according to their pace, strengths, and areas that need improvement. I aim to create a friendly environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes while learning.
My lessons are suitable for elementary, junior high school, and senior high school students who want to improve their English grammar, vocabulary, reading, writing, speaking, comprehension, and overall communication skills.
