About Nina

Hey! My name is Nina, and I'm currently an undergraduate student at York University. I remember having a completely different academic path, but after taking Intro to Psychology, I realized how much I enjoyed learning about people, behavior, and the way we think.

I’ve completed PSYC 1010 (Introduction to Psychology), PSYC 2260 (Cognition), and PSYC 3140 (Psychological Health, Distress, and Impairment), so I know how much information can come at you in a psychology course. I also teach grade 9 and 10 science!

My goal as a tutor is to help you understand the material instead of simply memorizing it. I’m patient, approachable, and happy to explain a concept in different ways and help you tailor those lessons.

About the lesson

I can help students with PSYC 1010 (Introduction to Psychology), and Science, as well as topics from PSYC 2260 (Cognition) and PSYC 3140 (Stress and Impairment). I can also help students review course material, prepare for tests, and better understand difficult concepts. I can share some advice and share my own notes, to better understand the concepts.

I will be teaching the main topics covered in introductory to psychology. Some of these topics include cognition, memory, thinking and language, research methods, and other core psychology concepts. I can help teach grade 9 and 10 science concepts from balancing chemical equations to ecology! For PSYC 2260 and PSYC 3140, I can help review material for those classes as well.
