About Chloe Kay
I’m a Psychology student at Queen Mary University who enjoys helping others learn and build confidence. I love making challenging subjects like psychology, sociology, and English much easier and straightforward to understand. As a fluent BSL user, I’m passionate about teaching sign language and baby signing to help people communicate. I believe in patient, personalised teaching that supports each student’s unique needs and goals.

I believe learning should be engaging, clear, and tailored to each student’s needs. My tutoring approach focuses on building confidence and understanding each topic and concept in depth through patient, supportive teaching and practical techniques. I use a mix of interactive discussion, real-life examples, and structured exercises to make complex ideas easy to grasp. For psychology and sociology, I focus on breaking down theories, helping with essay planning, and exam technique practice. For BSL, lessons are hands-on and visual, incorporating fun signing games, real-life scenarios, and repetition to build fluency. For baby signing, I keep sessions fun and simple, focusing on essential signs parents and carers can use daily. For English and essay support, I help students improve writing skills step-by-step, including structure, vocabulary, and critical thinking and a lot of practice! Typical lessons last 60 minutes but I’m happy to offer shorter or longer sessions depending on your needs. Qualifications & Experience: •Current Psychology undergraduate at Queen Mary University of London • Achieved A/A* in GCSE and A-Level Psychology and Sociology and English • Fluent in British Sign Language with experience teaching beginners and baby signing • Experience supporting students with SEND and those aiming for higher academic results Who the Lessons Are For: • GCSE and A-Level students studying Psychology, Sociology, or English • Beginners of all ages wanting to learn BSL or baby signing • Parents and carers looking to introduce signing to their little ones • Anyone looking for clear, patient, and personalised tutoring to boost confidence and grades!
