About Synthia
My teaching philosophy is that no one can’t learn, and learning does not have to be boring. I entrust my students with their learning and act as a guide to the topic and a knowledge base for understanding my. I do not believe in the concepts of “dumb” or “wrong” or “can’t”, just in try, want, and understand.

Make learning fun! I like to use many different types of teaching/learning styles so everyone gets the most out of the lesson. I am partial to adult learners and take an engaging approach-it’s never fun to be talked AT, so I lean toward collaboration. I have taught adult and adolescent patient populations the basics of human psychology and addictions in both an inpatient psychiatric facility and the prison systems, and adult learners the intermediate to advanced concepts of care and training to work IN those psychiatric and prison facilities.
