About Alisa
My public health curriculum taught me a lot about public policy, American history, and geography. In high school, I also took AP American Government, AP US History, and AP Human Geography and passed all tests.
Speech and debate immersed me in domestic and international politics, and as a graduate assistant for a collegiate speech and debate, I am well versed in current issues in order to prepare my students for success.

History is simply storytelling. Learning through notecards and by rote isn't the most effective strategy for everyone. Students who learn from me will be able to effectively learn history by being able to understand the catalyst behind historical events as well as the details of the event itself.
As a speech and debate lover, I can prepare students for presentations and projects, research, and writing.
