About Megan
I am a public history student and specialize in American, World history, Historic Preservation, and Historical Archaeology. I have previous experience in elementary and middle school settings and have taken courses in history secondary education. I worked at history museums and historical sites, and am a published writer. I am passionate about public history and teaching people of all ages about events of the past.

My philosophy of teaching is that all children are unique and must have a stimulating educational environment where they can grow physically, mentally, emotionally, and socially. It is my desire to create this type of atmosphere in person or via webcam, where students can meet their full potential and have fun learning. I will provide a safe and warm environment where students are invited to share their ideas and take risks.
It is my role as a tutor role is to act as an additional resource to supplement classroom lessons or to teach subjects students desire to learn outside the classroom. I create interactive activities into my lesson plans and allow the students to become critical thinkers.
