About Rachel
I have always loved math for its right or wrongness. I love that after working at a problem, we are rewarded with a concrete answer. Besides that, my favorite things in the world are teaching, my dog, cooking a great meal, and coffee coffee coffee! I'm a huge lover of reading (my favorite is historical fiction), teaching math, and running. I teach 7th graders at a public school on the East Coast, so nothing you throw at me will shock me. In fact, I enjoy a good laugh and will always try to create a warm, welcoming environment while we get the job done.

Because math is content-based, I really enjoy diving into the subject of your choosing. If you're in a course with specified topics you must work on, all the better! I find that math follows the gradual release model of instruction really well. I can break down a problem, give you steps to follow, guide you through a problem, and then allow you to take the reins and walk ME through a problem.
