About Andrew
As a graduate from UMass-Amherst, I joined AmeriCorps as a Literacy Site Coordinator which has since inspired a career in education. I followed it up by serving in the Peace Corps, obtaining my Master's Degree in Education, and then joining the Boettcher's Teacher Residency which was a five-year commitment to serve in high-need public schools in Colorado.

As a tutor, it's important to ignite my students passions, connect with their interests, and design lessons that frequently check for understanding. Common approach would be to follow the gradual release of responsibility framework. I like to differentiate my instruction so that students can excel at the highest levels.
