About Tamanna

Hey there, I am Tamanna, a biomedical researcher with experience at PHFI and UCL, UK. Worked in stem cell biology, epidemiology, and oral and lung cancer research for 4 years. Additionally, I have 2 years of experience teaching university and high school students. Some questions that may come to your mind before booking a class with me-

Question 1 : What can I expect in our FIRST class?
Answer: In the first session, my main goal is to understand your specific needs and learning style.

We'll discuss your current level in Biology, learning goals (e.g., exam preparation, improving understanding, tackling a specific topic), any challenges you're facing with the subject, your preferred learning methods (e.g., visual, auditory, kinesthetic), and I will also give you a mini-lesson to demonstrate my teaching style.

This will help you experience firsthand how I make complex concepts easier to grasp. It's also a great opportunity for you to ask any questions you have about my teaching approach or the subjects themselves.

Question 2 : How are your lessons structured?
Answer: My lessons are highly personalised, but generally, you can expect the following structure:

> I'll introduce new concepts using a variety of methods, including visual aids (diagrams, videos), real-world examples, and interactive discussions.
>We'll apply your new knowledge through problem-solving, quizzes, or discussions.
>I'll summarise the key takeaways of the lesson.
>You'll receive short, focused practice assignments to complete before the next session.

Question 3: Do you provide materials?
Answer: Yes, I provide all necessary learning materials, including notes, practice questions, relevant diagrams, videos, and articles.

Question 4: How do you track my progress?
Answer: I continuously monitor your progress through:
>Regular assessments and quizzes.
>Tracking your understanding and participation in lessons.
>Reviewing your homework and providing detailed feedback.
>Open communication with you about your strengths and areas for improvement.

Question 5: What if I need help outside of scheduled lessons?
Answer: While I encourage you to ask questions during our sessions, I understand that quick questions may arise. I'm available to answer short, clarifying questions via iMessages/whatsapp between lessons.
