About Marisa
I am a former college English instructor and journalist. I have also taught Kaplan SAT prep courses and offered private instruction on college essay composition. In addition, I hold a Juris Doctorate. I can work with all forms of writing, from creative assignments to academic research papers.

About the lesson

I can work with a client either on a specific assignment or an ongoing basis.
If we are completing one assignment, I will start with the client's ideas and help organize them into a structurally sound format. After a draft is completed, I then offer editing, explaining my reasoning for each area, and making sure the client understands the concepts and techniques involved. We will repeat this process as time allows, until a final draft is produced.
If I am working on a long-term basis, such as for a semester class, I will request a syllabus. We will then go over each assignment ahead of time, ensuring that the client is prepared and gets the most out of instructional time. Any assignments will be treated as described above.
