About Alasdair
I am a teaching assistant at Strathclyde university with over four years of experience teaching advanced and basic topics. In my time teaching I have taught hundreds of students helping them achieve up to masters level qualifications. I have published two peer-reviewed papers and am currently writing up my PhD thesis.

I believe in an intuition led approach to mathematics and that all students are capable of understanding the topic. My approach to teaching involves using simple, intuitive and concrete examples to build a students understanding before formalising the example using mathematics. I also believe that building the confidence of a student is crucial to their success and so I always provide enthusiastic support and encouragement to my students.
