Published Photographer, Multimedia Creative, Professor, with 30 years experience in Sparta NC

I believe that we never stop learning. Also, we often learn best from constructive feedback about our mistakes. In my experience as a learning systems designer and developer, I've found that different techniques work better for different subject areas. I try to use a project-based approach to learning, either collaborative or individual, in as many of my classes as I can.

I've been teaching for over ten years, with hundreds of students from middle school to university level. Many of my students have taken jobs with Apple, Google, Adobe, etc. and some of my younger students tell me that they've never been creatively challenged like they are when I teach them.

I've got BA and MA degrees in Multimedia Production, and a PhD in Educational Technology.

I've published books, my photography continues to be juried in to competitive gallery shows, and much of my work has been published in magazines.

I run a multimedia animation studio, and my most recent collaborative stop motion film, Monster News Feed, has won many awards on the international film festival circuit! My next film, SpaceBird, is in preproduction.
