In teaching mathematics, I strive to present topics clearly in a geometric manner this means lots of pictures! In addition to being offputting for many students, long, tedious calculations can often obscure the underlying ideas behind many mathematical concepts (especially so in calculus!). My physics background pushes me to present students with conceptual pictures first in order to motivate the necessary calculations.
