About Aditya
I'm Aditya - a Biotechnology student at the University of Edinburgh, a scientist at heart as well as by profession! I've taught life sciences and mathematics to students across different levels, and I know what it feels like when a concept just won't click, or a test score just won't happen. I'm here to make science make sense - clearly, practically, and at your pace. So let's learn, together!

My approach as a teacher
My teaching philosophy is simple: understanding matters more than memorising. I adapt my explanations to how the student actually responds - if something isn't landing, I find a different angle rather than repeating the same explanation. I introduce real-world analogies, worked examples, and step-by-step breakdowns, and I naturally weave in scientific terminology throughout so vocabulary builds alongside understanding.
Structure of a typical class
I begin by briefly revisiting previous material to connect it to what's new. I then introduce the concept clearly, work through an example together, and guide the student through attempting something independently while I observe where they hesitate. Every session ends with a summary of what was covered and what comes next.
What makes me different
I am an active researcher at the University of Edinburgh - meaning the life sciences I teach are not abstract to me. I can connect syllabus content to how science actually works, which makes material more meaningful for students who want to genuinely understand the subject. I also have direct classroom experience from a structured NGO teaching programme in Mumbai, where my students achieved a class average of 70% in their 7th grade final examinations across batches of up to 30 students.

Secondary school and early undergraduate students studying biology, life sciences, or STEM - especially those preparing for IGCSE, A Level, IB, or first-year university examinations. I am especially effective with students who find the subject overwhelming, as I am trained to meet learners at their actual level rather than assuming one.
