About Hassan
My strongest programming background is in C++, and I've also used Python in practical university and project work, including socket programming and an ASL static-image gesture recognizer.
I've helped classmates and friends work through programming concepts, errors, and assignments.I've noticed that the hardest part for many beginners isn't memorising Python syntax. It's figuring out how to turn an idea into working code when no tutorial is telling you the next line.
That's what I focus on.
I like explaining what the program is doing and then letting you write the code yourself while I guide your reasoning. When something breaks, we use the error as part of the lesson and debug it together instead of immediately replacing your code with mine.
I'm best suited to complete beginners, high-school students, and CS/engineering students working on Python fundamentals, OOP, introductory data structures and algorithms, debugging, or small projects.
I also don't pretend to know every Python library. If you have a specialised topic, project, or university module, send it to me before booking. I'll review the material first and tell you honestly whether I'm the right person to help.

These lessons are for complete beginners and CS/engineering students who understand Python when someone explains it, but struggle to write, debug, or structure code independently.
You can come to me if you're starting from zero, confused by a university topic, stuck on an error, practising DSA, or trying to turn an idea into a small working project.
My lesson method is: Explain → Trace → Build → Debug.
1. Explain
We begin with the concept and the questions you have. I keep the theory focused on what you actually need to understand.
2. Trace
Before writing lots of code, we walk through the logic: what each variable contains, what executes next, and how the data changes. I can use a digital whiteboard when visualising the program will help.
3. Build
You write the code. I guide you with questions and smaller steps instead of simply typing the solution for you. Depending on your goal, this may be an exercise, function, class, algorithm, university-style problem, or part of a small project.
4. Debug
When the code breaks, we don't skip the error. We read it, form a hypothesis, test it, and fix the problem together. The goal is for you to become less dependent on tutorials, Stack Overflow, or someone else telling you the next line.
A typical 60-minute session combines a short explanation, substantial hands-on coding, debugging, and time for your questions. When useful, I'll leave you with one small exercise based directly on what we covered.
I can help with Python fundamentals, functions, OOP, common data structures, introductory DSA, debugging, socket-programming fundamentals, and beginner/intermediate projects.
Before the lesson: send me the topic, assignment concept, error message, code, project idea, or simply tell me that you're starting from scratch. I'll review it beforehand so we can use the lesson time efficiently.

I usually don't comment, but I would really recommend Hassan as a teacher. His teaching methods are really what a student requires. Covering the material in depth while also focusing on the practical aspects of things is a skill a very few people possess. His teaching methods not only help understand things clearly, but also keep them retained. Learning through this approach can really help us save both of our time and effort.
I know Hassan Abaid as a dedicated and helpful Computer Science student and a friend. We have worked together on academic tasks, and I have seen how clearly he explains concepts, especially for beginners.
He is patient, supportive, and makes learning easy to understand. I highly recommend him as a tutor because he genuinely cares about helping students improve and succeed.View more recommendations

Send me what you're learning or stuck on before we meet. We'll identify the main problem, discuss your goal, and decide what we should work on first. There's no obligation to continue.
Single lesson — $12/hour
Start with one lesson before committing to a pack. This works well for trying my teaching style, understanding a difficult concept, debugging code, or working through one focused problem.
5-hour pack — $50 ($10/hour)
Best if you want several connected sessions around one goal, such as strengthening your Python fundamentals, learning functions/OOP, improving your debugging, practising introductory DSA, or progressing through a small project.
10-hour pack — $90 ($9/hour)
For students who want a longer learning plan and regular practice. You do not need to buy a pack before taking an individual lesson.
