About Pat
I am a trained Teacher, experienced in working in primary and secondary schools. I am flexible and having taught classes to as many as 25 children over 20 years, I am familiar and have a working knowledge of the curriculum and the expected outcome at the end of a lesson. As a professional, I am committed to meet set objectives and prepared to work tirelessly to meet them, so that my clients can feel that they have learnt, understood and met their goals.

My teaching method/s is classroom based with a bit of fun when needed. I will introduce the topic / title, then ask my students whether they are familiar with it, their thoughts as to what it may mean ,then I will clarify what it actually means and entail. After clarification, I will explain the objectives and inform my student, what he/ she should have learnt by the end of the lesson.
The next step is to move to the main part of the lesson, again introducing to the pupil , finding out whether he / she has any prior knowledge then building or adding to that. Teachers usually start from the known then onto the unknown, imparting further knowledge, then at the end re- cap what has been taught in that lesson. Then just to assess how much my pupils have learnt , I will often question them, encourage them to ask questions and clear up any misunderstanding.
