I am a dedicated and approachable educator who is passionate about helping young people achieve their potential. Throughout my career, I have worked with students from a wide range of backgrounds and abilities, and I understand that every learner's journey is unique.
Known for my calm, patient and encouraging nature, I aim to create a positive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes and developing confidence in their abilities. I believe that self-belief is often the key to success, and I take great satisfaction in helping students recognise what they are capable of achieving.
My experience in both teaching and school leadership has given me a strong understanding of the challenges students and families can face throughout secondary education. As a result, I am able to provide not only academic support but also reassurance, encouragement and practical guidance when needed.

As a qualified and experienced secondary school science and maths teacher with over 20 years working in education, I provide engaging, supportive, and results-driven tuition for students studying KS3 and GCSE Science across all major exam boards, including AQA, Edexcel, OCR and WJEC.
My teaching approach is centred on building confidence, developing strong subject knowledge and helping students master exam technique. I use a variety of teaching methods, including clear explanations, worked examples, retrieval practice, past paper questions and targeted feedback to ensure steady progress.
Lessons are typically 60 minutes long, although longer sessions can be arranged for intensive revision or exam preparation.
I am a fully qualified secondary science and maths teacher with extensive classroom experience teaching Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Maths. Having worked with students of varying abilities and backgrounds, I understand how to adapt my teaching to help learners achieve their full potential.
My lessons are suitable for:
