About Arif Fikri
I am a qualified and dedicated tutor with a Bachelor’s Degree in Primary Education, specializing in Mathematics and Islamic Education. I have experience teaching Bahasa Melayu, Mathematics, and English at a tuition center in Penang, as well as volunteering to provide free lessons to children in a village.
I am patient, approachable, and committed to helping every student learn at their own pace. I understand that some students may need more time and guidance to understand certain topics, so I create a comfortable learning environment where they can ask questions, make mistakes, and improve without feeling pressured.
Through my one-to-one lessons, I provide personalized attention based on each student’s individual needs and learning level. My goal is to help students strengthen their foundation, improve their academic performance, and most importantly, become more confident in their ability to learn.

I believe that effective tutoring is not just about teaching a subject, but about helping students understand, build confidence, and develop a positive attitude towards learning.
My teaching approach is personalized, patient, and student-centered. Since every student has different strengths, weaknesses, and learning styles, I adapt my lessons according to each student’s individual needs. I focus on understanding the student’s current level first, identifying areas where they struggle, and then guiding them step by step towards improvement.
For Mathematics, I place strong emphasis on building a solid foundation and understanding the concepts rather than simply memorizing formulas or answers. For Bahasa Melayu and English, I focus on improving comprehension, vocabulary, grammar, writing skills, and overall confidence in using the language. I use clear explanations, examples, guided exercises, revision, and practice questions to make lessons easier to understand and more effective.
My classes are conducted one-to-one, allowing me to give full attention to each student and adjust the pace of learning accordingly. A typical lesson lasts around 1 to 1.5 hours, depending on the student’s age, level, concentration, and learning objectives. I aim to create a comfortable and supportive learning environment where students feel encouraged to ask questions and are not afraid of making mistakes.
I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Primary Education, specializing in Mathematics and Islamic Education. I have previous teaching experience at a tuition center in Penang, where I taught Bahasa Melayu, Mathematics, and English. I have also volunteered my time to provide free lessons to children in a village. These experiences have helped me develop patience, communication skills, and the ability to work with students with different levels of understanding.
I currently offer personalized one-to-one tuition primarily for primary school students. My lessons are suitable for students who want to strengthen their basic foundation, improve their academic performance, catch up on difficult topics, prepare for school examinations, or simply become more confident in their studies.
My ultimate goal is to make learning less stressful and more enjoyable while helping every student progress at their own pace. I believe that with the right guidance, encouragement, and consistent practice, every student has the potential to improve and succeed.
