About Heidi
I am a qualified Chemistry teacher (PGCE + QTS) at a top independent boarding school in the UK. Before becoming a teacher, I undertook my Master's in Chemistry at King's College London working for the Musgrave group. I am an experienced IB Chemistry teacher who is also comfortable teaching both A-level and Pre-U Chemistry, in addition to undergraduate level Chemistry. I also offer GCSE tuition for IGCSE / GCSE for Chemistry, Biology, Physics and Maths.

Advanced concepts in the sciences and maths are dependent on your understanding of the basics. I start by assessing students' prior knowledge and building their confidence in their existing knowledge. Next, together we work to find the misconceptions and gaps in their understanding. From this point, we can iron out misunderstandings before looking at the more complex content. I like my classes to be relaxed and enjoyable for the student, so I will allow them to lead the session and ask me questions (very much like a university tutorial), but I can also provide structured lessons with prior conversations regarding content the student would like to discuss. As a teacher at a top international boarding school, I have access to a huge range of resources covering all exam boards.
