About Angela

I hold a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Education & Training (B.Ed), PGCE, Level 5 Advanced Teaching Diploma in Numeracy, TEFL, LCCI in Teaching Business English along with various other teaching qualifications. I am a fully qualified, experienced, competent Teacher with additional English and Maths teaching qualifications (25 years worth of experience). I am passionate about the subjects I teach and dedicated to seeing my students succeed. Frequently Asked Questions: Which subject(s) do you teach? Which qualifications do you prepare your students for? 7+, 8+ 11+ SATs, 13+/Common Entrance, GCSE English and Functional Skills I tend to use Zoom for online sessions (sometimes in conjunction with Bitpaper) as it has many tools and features specially designed for interactive and visual learning. About the lesson

English Language support from a qualified, experienced teacher (with DBS) offers KS1, 2 & 3 (and GCSE) English lessons in accordance with the UK Curriculum if required. I present the area to be covered in the session, the 'Tutee' practises the skills, then produces while improving accuracy and increasing speed using visual/aural/kinaesthetic teaching techniques. My aim is to motivate students through varied methods and questions to engage and ensure learning takes place. This makes the learning experience interesting and memorable to enable information to be processed from the short-term to the long-term memory through repetition and understanding (present/practise/produce). As a highly qualified teacher, I also provide lessons in maths, non-verbal reasoning, verbal reasoning, Creative writing, English as a Foreign Language, IELTS and GCSE English. For 11+ (CEM, GL & ISEB) 13+/Common Entrance exam preparation, along with guidance on transitioning from primary to secondary school. I have a lot of experience in teaching struggling children and adults.
