About Arta

I am a qualified and passionate History teacher with four years of classroom experience teaching students from Year 7 to Year 13 in inner London state schools. Over the years, I have helped many students grow in confidence and achieve excellent results at both GCSE and A Level across the AQA and Edexcel exam boards. Second year in a row I’ve been awarded a Jack Petchey award from my students for my supportive teaching. I take great pride in creating a supportive learning environment where every student feels comfortable asking questions and developing their own voice. My lessons are structured, engaging and always tailored to each student’s goals, whether that is improving essay technique, deepening historical understanding or preparing for exams. Students describe my teaching as clear, patient and motivating. I believe that with the right guidance and encouragement, every student can succeed in History and enjoy learning about the past along the way.

About the lesson

My lessons are calm, engaging, and tailored to each student’s individual needs. I start by identifying any gaps in knowledge, then build understanding through clear explanations, real historical examples, and regular practice with exam-style questions. I encourage students to think like historians by analysing evidence, forming arguments, and sustaining their judgements, key skills for top marks at GCSE and A Level. A typical lesson lasts one hour and includes discussion, active note-taking, and guided writing practice. I regularly check progress and adapt each session to ensure steady improvement and growing confidence. I am a qualified History teacher with four years of experience teaching Year 7 to Year 13. I’ve taught both AQA and Edexcel exam boards, and my students have consistently achieved excellent results. My lessons are ideal for KS3, GCSE, and A Level students who want to strengthen their understanding, improve essay writing, and reach their full potential in History.
