About Adam
I'm a newly qualified doctor, having just completed my Medical Degree at the University of Nicosia. Before medicine, I studied Chemistry at Queen Mary University of London and then Chemical Process Engineering at UCL, so I have a fairly broad scientific background that I think genuinely helps when it comes to tutoring.
I've always enjoyed explaining things. Even through medical school, I found myself helping classmates work through difficult concepts, and I realised that breaking things down clearly is something I'm good at and actually enjoy doing.
I started tutoring because I remember what it felt like to find certain topics overwhelming, especially at A-Level and during the medical school application process. I want to be the kind of tutor I wished I had — someone who actually explains the reasoning, not just the answer.
Outside of tutoring I work clinically, which means the science I teach is stuff I use and think about every day. I think that makes a real difference

I offer 1-to-1 online tutoring sessions, usually around 60 minutes, tailored to whatever you need. I don't follow a rigid script — every student is different, so I adapt my approach as we go.
I use a mix of methods depending on what works best for you.
That might be visual diagrams and pictures to explain a concept, spaced repetition to help things stick long-term, or just breaking something down step by step until it genuinely makes sense. I find that understanding the why behind something is far more useful than memorising facts for an exam.
I cover A-Level Biology and Chemistry, all GCSE Science, maths, university-level Biomedical Sciences, and medical school admissions, including UCAT prep, personal statements and interview practice.
I have a BSc in Chemistry from Queen Mary, an MSc in Chemical Engineering from UCL, and a Medical Degree — so I can offer real depth across the sciences, not just surface-level tutoring.
