About Jagapriya
Hi, I’m Jagapriya. I’m a warm and approachable tutor with a Master’s degree in Cognitive and Clinical Neuroscience, and I currently work in a primary school as a Learning Support Assistant. I specialise in primary school maths, and I genuinely enjoy helping children feel more confident and capable in their learning. I understand that every child is different—some need things broken down more clearly, some just need someone patient who believes in them. I always try to make my lessons engaging, supportive, and tailored to the individual child. Whether your child finds maths tricky or just needs a little extra practice, I aim to create a calm, encouraging space where they can take their time, ask questions, and start to feel proud of their progress. I’ve worked with children from a range of backgrounds and learning needs, including those with special educational needs, so I’m used to adapting my approach to suit each learner. I’m professional, reliable, and genuinely care about the children I work with. Helping them grow in confidence is what I love most about this work.

Hi! I’m Jagapriya, and I offer primary school maths tutoring that’s friendly, flexible, and tailored to your child’s needs. I have an MSc in Cognitive and Clinical Neuroscience and work as a Learning Support Assistant, so I’m very used to helping children with different learning styles—especially those who need a bit more time, encouragement, or structure. My sessions are all about making maths feel less scary and more like something your child can do. I use simple explanations, fun activities, and visual tools to help concepts click. I’m also really patient and make sure kids feel safe to ask questions or make mistakes—that’s how real learning happens! Lessons are usually between 45 minutes to an hour, depending on what suits your child best. I’ve worked with children from KS1 and KS2, including those with special educational needs or who just need a confidence boost in maths. If you're looking for someone who truly cares and takes the time to understand how your child learns, I’d love to help.
