About GEN

I am a native Japanese speaker from Kobe, Japan, and I have been teaching Japanese for 5 years. I completed a 420-hour Japanese Teacher Training Course at Human Academy Osaka Umeda.

I have taught Japanese to learners from different countries and with different learning goals, from complete beginners to intermediate students. I enjoy helping students understand not only what Japanese means, but also why a particular expression is used and how Japanese is naturally spoken in everyday situations.

I believe learning Japanese should be practical, enjoyable and connected to real communication. I take the time to understand each student’s goals and learning style, and I adjust my lessons accordingly.

Whether you are learning Japanese for travel, everyday communication, personal interest, or the JLPT, I will support you step by step and help you build confidence in using Japanese.

About the lesson

I am a native Japanese teacher from Japan with 5 years of teaching experience. I completed a 420-hour Japanese Teacher Training Course at Human Academy Osaka Umeda.

My lessons are practical and output-focused. We do not only study grammar and vocabulary; you will have many opportunities to speak Japanese. I usually follow this process: review → learn new language → practice → speak → receive feedback → speak again using the corrections.

I explain grammar, vocabulary and expressions clearly, including differences in nuance and natural Japanese that textbooks may not fully explain. I also provide detailed corrections when needed.

Lessons are usually 50 minutes and are available online. I teach beginners to intermediate learners, including students preparing for the JLPT (N5–N2), as well as learners who mainly want to improve their everyday Japanese conversation.

I adapt the lesson content to your level, goals and interests, whether you are starting Japanese from zero, preparing for the JLPT, or want to speak more naturally and confidently.
