About Trixie
I'm currently a Year 6 class teacher (trained in Australia) who has been teaching in London for the last five years. Having previously taught across all the year groups (from Year 1 to 6), I have good subject knowledge and a thorough understanding of the curriculum.
In addition to teaching in primary schools, I have privately tutored children (both in person and online) from ages 4 to 14 in reading, writing and maths (since 2014).
My aim is to build my students' confidence to enable them to flourish at school and in life.

I can teach children ranging from ages 4 to 12. I specialise in Year 6 SATs preparation.
I believe children are naturally curious and so I work to facilitate lessons by encouraging students to ask questions and develop necessary skills to find answers and solutions.
I also break down concepts in a way that allows my students to have a more comprehensive understanding (i.e. understanding of not just the 'what', but 'why' and 'how' as well).
I have high expectations for my students and will support them in any way possible by catering to their different learning styles and needs.
My lessons are usually 1 hour but are negotiable.
