About Djertsen
I’m a passionate and dedicated Physics teacher with three years of experience teaching KS3, GCSE and A-Level Physics. I hold QTS, a degree in Physics, a PGCE and a postgraduate diploma in Petroleum Engineering, giving me both a strong academic background and a genuine passion for the subject.
My journey into teaching was inspired by one of my own Physics teachers, who showed me how fascinating and exciting Physics could be. That experience stayed with me and inspired me to become the kind of teacher who can have the same positive impact on young people.
What I enjoy most about teaching is working with young people and seeing their confidence grow. I love the energy, curiosity and different perspectives that students bring to every lesson. For me, tutoring is about much more than improving grades — it’s about helping students understand the world around them, overcome challenges and develop the confidence to believe in what they can achieve.
I want every student I teach to leave a lesson feeling that Physics is something they can understand, enjoy and succeed in.

My approach is friendly, patient and genuinely student-centred. I believe Physics becomes much easier when students truly understand the concepts rather than simply memorising formulae. I break challenging topics into clear, manageable steps, use real-world examples to make lessons engaging, and adapt my teaching style to suit each student’s individual needs. My goal is not only to improve grades, but to build confidence, curiosity and a genuine enjoyment of Physics.
