About Jude

I’m a qualified primary teacher with experience teaching across Years 4–6, offering personalised KS2 SATs preparation in Maths Arithmetic and Reasoning, Reading and SPaG.

I have a passion for helping children develop the confidence and resilience needed for the SATs. I support for children by providing them with the techniques and knowledge needed in order to maximise their attainment and I understand that every child learns differently, which is why I tailor my lessons to suit individual needs, learning styles and goals.

About the lesson

Rather than leaving SATs preparation until the final few weeks of Year 6, I can support pupils over the *1–2 years leading up to their SATs*, building secure knowledge and confidence alongside the school curriculum. This gives pupils time to identify gaps, strengthen their understanding and become increasingly confident with the demands of the SATs papers.

As an experienced KS2 teacher, I know the curriculum thoroughly and understand how SATs assess pupils’ knowledge and skills. I can help children become familiar with different question styles, understand exactly what questions are asking, and develop clear and effective ways of constructing answers that meet the requirements of the mark scheme.

Lessons are tailored to each pupil's needs, whether they need to strengthen particular areas of Maths, develop reading comprehension and inference skills, improve their SPaG knowledge, or build confidence across the papers.

My aim is to make SATs preparation structured and purposeful without making it overwhelming — helping pupils develop the knowledge, strategies and independence they need to approach their exams with confidence.
