About Florence

I am a qualified science teacher with experience supporting students across a wide range of abilities, including those with SEND or who have found school challenging. I enjoy helping learners rebuild confidence in science and develop a clearer understanding of key concepts at their own pace. I am passionate about making science feel accessible and achievable, particularly for students who may feel anxious or overwhelmed. My approach is patient, supportive and focused on creating a positive learning experience that helps each student make steady progress.

About the lesson

My science lessons are structured, supportive and tailored to each learner’s needs. I work with students across KS3 and GCSE, including those with SEND, anxiety or who have found school challenging. I have experience teaching across a wide range of ability levels and understand how to adapt explanations, pace and resources to suit different learning styles and levels of understanding. I focus on building confidence first, breaking concepts down clearly and revisiting key ideas until students feel secure. Lessons are structured but flexible, with no pressure, helping students feel comfortable asking questions and making progress at their own pace.
