1. Techniques & Teaching Methodology I use a student-centred approach, breaking down complex mathematical concepts into clear, step-by-step explanations. Encourage active learning through questioning, problem-solving, and real-life applications of maths. Apply differentiation strategies to meet the needs of all learners, including SEN and EAL pupils. Make lessons engaging using technology such as GeoGebra, Desmos, and interactive quizzes. Regular use of Assessment for Learning (AfL) techniques to track progress and address misconceptions early. 2. Typical Lesson Length Standard sessions are 60 minutes, but can be tailored to 45 or 90 minutes depending on the learner’s needs and attention span. Structure: 1. Quick recap or warm-up activity 2. Qualifications & Experience Currently completing PGCE Secondary Mathematics (QTS pending \[2026]). Who the Lessons Are For KS3 (ages 11–14): Building strong foundations, addressing gaps from earlier years.
