About Matt
I am a Qualified Maths Teacher (QTS) and I have a Maths degree. I work as a secondary Maths teacher for the last 5 years and I am currently teaching at an "Outstanding" school.
I am a Maths enthusiast and I like teaching and supporting students with their Maths.
I started tutoring 9 years ago and I have developed my practice providing support tailored to my students` needs. I work with students of a wide range of ability in Maths and I help them make progress in the subject.
Over the years I have worked with students who completed their GCSEs successfully, achieving their desired grade.
Different students learn and understand different methods and I always aim to use and demonstrate methods that support my students in learning new or revising already known topics.
I have experience in providing scaffolded work for the developing students to help them become more independent and confident in Maths, as well as extended work for the high achieving students, focusing on those high graded questions, on problem-solving questions, and revision techniques.
I use engaging and up-to-date resources that help my students understand the subject better and achieve their best in it.
