About Thomas
Hi, I’m Thomas, a fully qualified secondary school teacher from Ireland with 7 years’ experience teaching languages in both Ireland and Spain.
I specialise in Junior Cycle and Leaving Certificate Spanish, helping students improve their grades, confidence and exam technique. I have taught in four secondary schools and delivered thousands of hours of online lessons.
I speak English (native), Irish, French and Spanish, and I lived in Spain for three years, which has given me strong fluency and cultural insight. I have also learnt the best techniques to learn languages.
I believe learning Spanish can be clear, structured and even enjoyable when taught the right way. My goal is to make Spanish feel straightforward and help students reach their full potential.

As a qualified secondary school teacher with a Master’s in Second Language Education and 7 years of classroom experience, I understand what truly works in language learning — and what doesn’t. As someone who speaks four languages myself, I know the challenges students face and how to overcome them efficiently.
Every lesson is tailored to the individual student and their specific goals. If you are preparing for the Junior Cycle or Leaving Certificate, I provide a clear, structured plan and practical strategies to maximise your results. I focus not only on content, but also on exam technique, time management, and how to avoid common mistakes.
For students who want to go beyond the exam, I also work on pronunciation, fluency, and speaking naturally. Having lived in Madrid for three years, I developed strong real-world Spanish and cultural insight that I bring into my lessons.
I use my own engaging resources, designed to be more interactive and effective than standard textbook materials. I also give students clear guidance on how to improve outside the classroom, so progress continues between lessons.
My goal in every class is simple: to give students a clear plan, build their confidence, and make the learning process straightforward and enjoyable.
