About Branden
Hi potential student and friend!
I come from a biomedical science background. Having worked in clinical trials I am now transitioning into a teaching role and I look forward to sharing knowledge and learning alongside my students.
I am TEFL qualified and currently completing a Graduate Certificate in Arts with a Major in English. In the following year I will be completing a Masters of Secondary Teaching.
My past English teaching experience has been centered around informal conversational development and IELTS preparation. Going forward I seek to provide written and verbal Business English assistance as well.
I too speak another language (Portuguese) and know what it is like to start from knowing one or two words to finding yourself thinking in the language!

Qualifications aside, I am eager to help you develop your conversational English through language immersion and the use of English language media. I believe in conversations and media that immerse you in the language, supported by the foundations of grammar and syntax as necessary.
For Business English learners I will develop your business vocabulary and etiquette through text and situational examples developed through my own experiences in my career.
I learnt Brazilian Portuguese as a teenager through immersion into the language and culture over a year. I understand the difficulties of learning a new language and the importance of enjoying yourself and forming relationships while you learn.
