I first met Angela five years ago while she was employed as a social worker. Throughout this time I have seen Angela’s practice framework evolve as she has worked in a number of dynamic roles in the social work profession expanding on her theoretical and practical knowledge.

Angela’s teaching style consists of working collaboratively, being flexible and open-minded in her approach, and supporting you to break down assessment/questions and/or rewording them in ways the student can understand. Rather than telling you how something is done, she guides you along the journey enabling you to problem solve/come up with a solution which is a core skill that can be applied when practicing social work.

Angela has a love for all literature and education. Therefore, she is frequently expanding her own knowledge and is aware of all recent changes and challenges in contemporary issues that you may come across in the field of social work or in assessment work.

Angela was the biggest help to me during my first year of my master of counselling. She helped me on several assignments by breaking down the task sheet and working through sections to ensure we hit necessary parts. Ange is super knowledgeable across the board of social work and counselling and was particularly helpful at bettering my understanding of the theories through reflection and questioning. I always felt supported by her but that I still achieved things on my own. That was the best part about working with Ange she wouldn’t tell you the answer but she would support you to find it on your own! She’s a very good communicator and a caring person. She works with your learning style - as a visual leaner we would do brain maps and set things out in a way that I could best comprehend.
