About Debbie

I am a qualified MFL (Spanish and French) Secondary School Teacher. I am particularly interested in education, both formal and informal. I have experience working with secondary school students but also primary school and kindergarten children. I have been working with children aged 3 to 18 in an informal sector for more than 10 years. Additionally, I have experience in the formal sector where I have been working for the last three years.

About the lesson

I like to adapt my approach to the necessity of my students. In general I follow a constructive approach where students have to construct their own learning because I believe that is one of the best way to learn. In addition, I follow a Communicative approach because I believe one of the main reasons to study a language is to communicate. Depending on the students I would follow a task based approach or a project based approach in which they have to participate, collaborate and work autonomously to succeed.
