About Gunnar
I have worked as a secondary school teacher for over 10 years. What I enjoy most in my job is being able to help motivated students from confusion and frustration to understanding and master. I am currently writing a master's thesis in mathematics, so I have some time to spare to do private lessons.

My approach is that mathematics should be understandable and make sense, and I believe that once you have really understood something, it is almost impossible to forget it. That is why I focus a lot on understanding in my teaching. As an expert and guide in the landscape of mathematics, I want to give you the opportunity to discover the secrets of mathematics, whether the trip goes to the geometry jungle, the statistics swamp or the algebra mountain.
My competence and confidence in mathematics is founded through a bachelor's degree in mathematics, where I got an A in almost all subjects. Through over 10 years of teaching experience as a teacher, I have extensive experience in providing 1-1 guidance, and I consider this to be my greatest strength as a teacher. I also have good experience as a private tutor outside of school.
I don't follow a fixed programme, I adapt my teaching to you, your prior knowledge and your goals. The duration of the sessions can be adjusted and adapted, but I consider 1-2 hours per session to be appropriate. I am confident that I can help you towards mastery and understanding, regardless of whether you:
- Are young or an adult
- Take subjects at secondary school, upper secondary school or university level
- Wants follow-up over time or just a single hour here and there with help with tasks
