About Michelle
Engaging GCSE Maths & Science tutor
I am a qualified maths and science teacher, I have taught up to A level so I have a through understanding of the curriculum. I have also taught gcse level science in school.
I have experience tutoring in mathematics for KS1, KS3 and KS4.
I have tutored maths and science for 6 years.
I have taught KS3, GCSE and A level maths to wide range of abilities, so I have experience supporting students that need extra help and stretching and challenging students.
As a teacher I have come to understand that students are individuals and I always cater my sessions to make sure that students are making the most progress for their style of learning.

I use a diagnostic approach to tutoring preferring to asses areas and tailoring the tutoring session to my tutee.
I come prepared with exam style questions and worksheets. I also focus on ensuring that I am assessing progress throughout my sessions that there is evidence of progress being made for the students. This will enable me to move on harder style problem solving that will get them use to the exam style questions so it is not a shock when they do their GCSEs.
