About Jade
I am a qualified primary school teacher with four years teaching experience. I was a teacher in year 5 and year 1 for one year, then became a supply teacher for the past three years.
I have built up a tutoring business over the past three years, having students every single day (averaging 15 students per week!), ranging from year 1 level all the way up to gcse maths level! I currently tutor from home and travel - however as I am on maternity leave, I am looking to build up an online clientele to be able to earn a bit of extra money and still be at home for my baby girl!
I currently have 3 students for gcse maths and they are just about to undertake their exam. The one student is in class 6 out of 6 (lowest ability), and with my help has worked his way up to class 2 out of 6, and has now been entered for the higher level paper.
I have tutored many children for the year 6 sats with great success.
I have also tutored many for the 11+ exams with great results.
I try to make the lessons as engaging and fun as possible! I am an outgoing, friendly person who can make the tutee feel at ease and feel confident enough to ask me any questions they may have.

My tutoring style differs based on the needs of the student! The sessions are led by you...
Some tutees like to go through homework they may have from school.
Some gcse maths students like to practise lots of past papers and go through them together.
Some parents may wish for their child to be assessed and then I can cater for their weak areas.
It is completely up to you!
I always feel the best way of tutoring is to assess, review, and then fill in the gaps!
I am a bubbly, outgoing individual, who can form good relationships with children and young adults. I strive for each child to reach their full potential - this may not always mean full marks, but for the child to give it their best shot and increase their confidence through improving their subject knowledge.
