About Sharon

I have 27 years' experience - and 100% success rate in tutoring towards the 7, 8 & 11 + exams, including the ISEB Pre-Test. I am based in the Maida Vale/Queens Park area and tutor at home or in your own client's home. I am also happy to offer lessons over Zoom or to combine face-to-face and Zoom lessons. Flexibility is important and finding a solution to suit busy lives is key.

About the lesson

I offer 1 - 1 or group lessons. [1 - 1 lessons are £50 per hour including all materials and weekly feedback. Group lessons are £35 per hour - no more than three students per group. My tuition is a great way for students to get the extra help they need to excel in school and in exams. My individually tailored lessons help with specific exam preparation, fill in knowledge gaps or provide essential pre-learning for difficult topics. I will help to foster a love of learning by providing students with opportunities to go beyond the curriculum, working towards their interests and goals. They have a safe space to make mistakes and ask questions, which helps them to gain confidence. As they watch their grades improve, so does their motivation and resilience. I am experienced in offering guidance in navigating the complex secondary transfer and 11+ exam system and can often offer advice on suitable schools.
