About Hannah
I am a 31 year old graduate from Bristol University, where I studied Biological Sciences. I have 4 years experience teaching Science and Maths at a Secondary School in London after completing Teach First. My teaching approach is personalised to suit individual needs and styles of learning. I have strong subject knowledge and being able to provide clear and concise explanations for less familiar concepts. We will work together to improve confidence with tricker concepts and set targets for areas that need improvement.
My teaching experience ranges from working with larger classes of Year 7 students, all the way through to much smaller classes of AS level. I mostly work with OCR and AQA exam boards at my current school. I am up to date with changes taking place within A/L specifications and have a stock of past papers and mark schemes for all 3 exam board. I work with a range of abilities, with far weaker students needing more scaffolding in order to reach their academic goals, as well as challenging those higher attaining students in order to push them to even better grades.
I have great enthusiasm for the subjects that I teach and I believe this has a real impact on my tutoring. My services are customised to suit individual needs of the student and each student is recommended a plan of action to achieve their targets.
