About Alice
I am a qualified science and maths teacher and have 20 years experience of teaching in schools and alternative provision, tutoring 1:1 and small groups and working with home-schooled and EOTAS students. I offer tuition in all three sciences and maths at KS3 and GCSE/IGCSE. I have worked with all abilities and have experience working with SEN students individually and in small group settings. My aim is to help students gain confidence and make progress with the subject. I am offering private tuition online or in person in my local area. I can help with homework and with revision for exams and I am available in the school holidays for extra revision.
I have extensive experience of working with SEN pupils having worked in a hospital school and working with pupils who are waiting to be placed in a special school. I have experience with ASD pupils, SEMH pupils and working with those that have an EHCP.

Tutoring strategies are tailored to each pupil. If working towards a specific exam I go over the more difficult concepts and help the student to apply their knowledge to questions using past papers and other resources. In this way content is revised while practicing questions. The key is to understand and enjoy the subject and this can be conveyed using many different teaching strategies.
