About Emma
I am a qualified primary teacher and I spent my newly qualified year teaching Year 3 children, in a school with a high number of students who had SEND and spoke English as a second language.
I then moved into secondary education, specifically working in alternative provisions with students who struggled to access mainstream education. This is something I care hugely about. I am a qualified safeguarding officer and have previously been an Inclusion Manager and Designated Teacher for CLA.
I have taught students at both ends of the spectrum of learning and take care and pride in ensuring my lessons meet the individual need of each student. My learning environment is filled with positive reinforcement and thorough communication at each stage of the lesson.

With a broad range of experience working in primary education through to secondary, specifically alternative provision and nuture intervention departments, my approach and teaching style is entirely focused on the specific needs of the student. Whether this be short bursts of activity, with regular brain breaks, or the use of visual and creative aids, I am very enthusiastic about adapting my lessons to bring out the best in my students, and creating an accessible, encouraging learning environment.
