About Linnea

I am a native Swedish speaker who recently graduated from the University of Cambridge PGCE (Postgraduate Certificate in Education) and received Qualified Teacher Status. This permits me to teach at primary and secondary schools in the UK. My experience in education is long and includes roles as class teacher, supply teacher, language tutor and Covid catch-up tutor. I love seeing the “click” in a student's eyes when they understand something new. I hope to hear from you and to set out on a learning journey - however long or short - together!

About the lesson

As my student, you will receive genuine attention, and lessons characterised by warmth and laughter. I believe that learning happens in an open and stress-free environment, where mistakes are only opportunities for further exploration. We will set learning goals together based on the experiences you are hoping to get out of your new language skills (travel, studies, work, socialising, or a healthy mix) and tailor our lessons around those goals.

In the past, with long-term students, I have focused on conversational skills and understanding Swedish grammar. One-off clients have got in touch to practice a wedding toast in Swedish, or to get help proofreading a text in Swedish.
