About MARCELLA

I have started studying languages to be able to converse with people of different nationalities: in addition to English and French I can teach, I also know two others languages fairly and I manage in three others. After graduating in languages I thought Italian in London. I then worked as a tour guide for various foreign and Italian agencies before qualifying myself as English and French teacher for the Italian Ministry of Education and entering high school. I have always continued to study and I have been especially interested in the use of IT (since the 90s) as a support in language teaching. This perseverance of mine allowed me at the age of 47 to begin my PhD in Human Sciences - Technology of Education o the University of Macerata which I completed in 2014. I have also taught many English courses for adults and graduates funded thnks to European Union funds.

About the lesson

My long experience in teaching children, teens and adults, both at school (middle, high school, university) and in private courses (interpreters, translators, English for Special Purposes, preparation for language certifications) as well as a doctorate in ' Technology of Education 'allow me to offer a wide range of different activities (from games, to the use of musical pieces to customized interactive online courses created to measure) able to meet the needs of students of all ages. The lessons, although different in content depending on the age and needs of the learner, are mainly structured in three moments: the presentation of the content, guided practice and role play. Each lesson includes an initial review of the topics of the previous one and a final summary to highlight not only the content but any critical points that might emerge during the meeting.
