About Chaniqua

I've been teaching for 4 years as a PE teacher and group exercise instructor. Through these experiences I posses the ability to build positive relationships, excellent communication skills and the ability to demonstrate and provide alternatives to meet the students' needs.

These qualities are transferable and complement my professional and private life. For example, I can create a well-disciplined learning environment that encourages students to learn in a safe space, when teaching I try to find a balance between respect and allowing students to be themselves as they are on a journey.

This is paramount in the work I carry out; as it provides the ideal setting for a positive learning environment for both the teacher and student.

One of my goals is to help people lead an active and healthy lifestyle so they are able to live longer, delay health issues and in the process become body confident. When teaching I wish to inspire my students to find their interest in being active, with the intention of lifelong participation.

About the lesson

I engage my students by incorporating a variety of methods for example quizzes to gauge understanding, practical activities to support learning and address misconceptions, drawing on real life examples etc. I go to extra lengths to help my students achieve their goals and become more confident within the subject.

I can support students with exam preparation and coursework.

My lessons are 1 hour and targeted towards key stage 3 and 4, feel free to contact if you have any other requests.

If cancellation is made with 24 hours notice, I am happy to refund or reschedule free of charge. But if cancellation is made within 24 hours of lesson only a 50% refund will be provided.
